Are Feds targeting Latinos ( Mexican-Americans) ? LOS ANGELES,CA — More than sixty-nine members of the Mongols, a motorcycle Club formed by Mexican Americans in Montebello (Los Angeles) in the 70's, Were arrested last October 2008 following a three-year undercover investigation that spanned seven states and “dealt a massive blow” to the organization, one official X said. The arrestsees are among 79 people named in an 86-count federal racketeering indictment that alleges the Mongols organization was involved in a wide range of criminal activity, The organization of the Mongols MC gang “from top to bottom has been charged and targeted,” said an employee of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Among those taken into custody were former Mongols National President: "Ruben “Doc” Cavazos", along with several chapter presidents and various officials of local chapters in conjunction with 162 search warrants executed in California, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Illinois and Ohio. Norwegian mainstream news also reports that the Mongols have spread to Scandinavia and Italy. A Federal judge in L.A. barred the Mongols Motorcycle Club from wearing or distributing its trademarked logo!
